Tracks and Yaks

Pedal alongside the Great Allegheny Passage hiking and biking trail along the mountain ridge on Mountain Maryland's rail biking excursion.

This 2.5-hour railbike tour starts from the Frostburg Depot and runs along the Western Maryland Railway line with spectacular mountain views and iconic points of interest, including the Brush Tunnel and Helmstetter's Curve. The ride is a leisurely pace on pedal-powered tandem or quad railbikes along the smooth, steel railroad tracks. The tracks steer the railbikes and the slightly downhill terrain makes for an easy pedal, suited for most age groups.

Available packages include the traditional Frostburg to Cash Valley experience -a 10-mile trek on a tandem or quad railbike, beginning at the Frostburg Depot and ending at Cash Valley.
